Fabrication at DIC Prototyping Lab together with NUS Department of Mechanical Engineering.
NUS Urban Concept Car is a concept eco car jointly developed by the NUS Department of Mechanical Engineering and Design Incubation Centre.
This single-seater concept car aims to address issues of fuel efficiency and environmental impact. Hence, this single rear-wheel drive car is designed to be lighter and runs on Gas-to-Liquid fuel, an alternative energy source. In addition, it is developed with a low rolling resistance allowing it to freewheel without consuming any fuel upon reaching a certain speed.
NUS Urban Concept Car is developed for the Shell Eco-marathon Europe 2008, ‘Urban Concept’ category, held at the Nogaro Motor Circuit in France from the 22nd to 24th of May 2008
